We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mine Geologist to join our team and play a key role in the commencement and ongoing operation of the Agate Creek Gold Mine. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands on Mine Geologist to takeownership of grade control, ore definition and reconciliation, working closely with Mining and Processing to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution and loss.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and continuously improve grade control activities, including geological mapping, sampling, interpretation and ore/waste definition

• Provide high-quality geological support to the mining operation, ensuring geological information is effectively translated into practical mining outcomes

• Develop and maintain geological models and grade control interpretations

• Work closely with the Production team to optimise ore extraction, minimise dilution and ore loss, and improve ore quality

• Lead mine-to-mill reconciliation, investigating variances between resource models, grade control, mined material, stockpiles and processing results

• Provide geological input into short-term mine planning, production forecasting and reconciliation processes

• Maintain high standards of geological data collection, QA/QC, database management and geological interpretation

• Mentor and provide technical leadership to the Geology Teams

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology and significant open pit mining experience, preferably in gold

• Strong practical experience in grade control, ore/waste definition and mine geology

• Demonstrated experience in mine-to-mill reconciliation, including identifying and investigating grade, tonnes, dilution and recovery variances

• Strong geological modelling, interpretation and data management skills

• A practical and commercially focused approach to geology, with the ability to work closely with Mining and Processing teams

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence operational decision-making
